Breakfast Picks

A little late, but I've had such a sleep deficit, I just couldn't start blogging at 7 in the morning today ;). Have fun with today's picks which give attention to handbags and purses, take you to five different sewing tutorials and show three very new and innovative online magazines!
Yours, Theresa

Eure Theresa

Bags and Purses and Clutches and Shoppers and …

  • Ila Handbags – that is Paula Bjerketvedt – and all her handbags and clutches are handmade, using new and vintage fabrics.
  • These little leather pouches (made with 100% vintage leather sofas ;)) you can get at the lovely shopping site named POKETO: "Because no two pouches are ever the same, you won't get the exact same one you see online. Choose your favored color combination and we'll send you one that matches as closely as possible."

  • Clare Vivier is a collection of bags that "embodies timeless style over trend, quality over hype and progress over abstraction. Clare was a journalist working for French television when she was traveling a lot with her laptop and for lack of anything stylish in the marketplace, fabricated her own good looking paded envelope. Out of that search for bags with chic utility came Clare Vivier."

Free Sewing Tutorials

  1. This tutorial with a free downloadable pattern shows you a bis tape bag for beginners.
  2. The tutorial shows you how to make a big bow pillow. However this bow could be used for so many other things. I actually found the tutorial because of Tina's pin with the lovely bow skirt. Soooo many possibilities ;)!!!!
  3. GO VINTAGE!! With this 1950s Novelty Brooch and a lovely How-to by Charlotte from Tuppence Hapenny Vintage. I've found this tutorial via Casey's Elegant Musings who has already tried it and it turned out wonderfully! | GO VINTAGE!

Online Magazines

Who doesn't want a guide to a well-lived life? High Gloss Magazine is a wonderful new online magazine (2 publications until now). In this I love the articles about Tibi and Diane von Fürstenberg. They've got many spreads with great products and lovely picks – as the website describes: High Gloss is glamorous, modern and chic … loves high style, but can't resist a good sale!

matchbook

matchbook Magazine launched in January 2011 and is also an online lifestyle publication "celebrating classics – shaken and stirred". The monthly issue features fashion, but also decoration tips, culture, travel and art. What makes this magazine special? The very cute illustrations featuring the so-called Matchbook Girl and a very sweet, romantic style. Was macht dieses Magazin so speziell?

Great picks today! I love that clutch from Clare Vivier and knowing the backstory makes it even better. I just recently started reading some online magazines (Sweet Paul and Rue). More and more seem to be around. Are they also popular in Germany? Thanks for sharing! carly
